Recycle Your Old Electronics This Summer!
GRX is a genuine recycler, run by your Windy Hills neighbor John Miller, dedicated to proper handling of your electronic waste. GRX has been in business since 1999 and is Colorado’s Premier electronic waste recycler. John will be collecting electronic waste at his house on August 8th between 9:00am and 2:00pm. $10 for TVs, $5 for smaller computer monitos, all other household items recycled free. Flintwood Road Maintenance
Douglas County Public Works is responsible for Flintwood road maintenance. To report raodway grading, pothole repairs or other roadway concerns, please contact them at 303-660-7489, or email them at pwoperations@douglas.co.us. (Thank you for this information Kaye Marsh)
HOA Dues and Windy Hills Road Maintenance
Normally Windy Hills HOA dues notices are handed out at the general meetings or are mailed. If your name is not yet in the database for the notice, please contact a board member (contact information at the foot of this page). The dues are $60 per quarter, or $240 per year, which pays for all of the road maintenance in the Windy Hills neighborhood up to the Flintwood intersection. Flintwood is the closest county maintained road. Typically, the dues are payable any time within the calendar quarter (1st- Jan Feb Mar; 2nd- Apr May Jun; 3rd- Jul Aug Sep; 4th- Oct Nov Dec). If you have not received your notice, please send payment to Mary Lancaster at 8694 N SILO RD PARKER, CO 80138 (and your name will be entered into the gift certificate drawing!!!). Thank you.
D.C. Conservation District Seedling Program
The Douglas County conservation district is working with the Colorado State Forest Service and their seedling tree program in 2009. For landowners with 2 or more acres, trees will be offered for windbreaks, wildlife habitat, erosion control, etc. If you would like to participate, the deadline to order is March 19, 2009 - Distribution will be in Castlerock on April 7th
